Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Sunday interacted with the people of Dumka at his residence there and heard their problems. Assuring to address their problems at the earliest, Soren said that the ruling government was people-centric and it prioritises the people by listening to them and resolving their issues.
A woman from Dumuhani village in Dumka was one of the complainants, who approached the Chief Minister to seek help in addressing anomalies in her bank account. Shani Soren told the CM that Rs 10,000 was fraudulently withdrawn from her State Bank of India account in Taljhari. The woman’s biometrics was taken by the bank and she was asked to collect the money after 15 days, she said. Later, when she sent a representative to the bank, he was told that money has been fraudulently withdrawn from her account.
After hearing the woman’s problem, the Chief Minister directed the concerned police officer to take strict action against the CSP operator and get the woman’s money back.
Later in the day, Soren visited Tarapith temple at West Bengal’s Birbhum district along with his family and offered prayers to goddess Tara Maa. The Chief Minister’s spouse Kalpana Soren also offered prayers at the temple. After offering prayers at the temple, Soren said that he sought the blessings of Maa Tara for ensuring peace, progress and harmony in the state. The CM and his family will stay at Rampurhat in Birbhum in the night and return to Jharkhand on Monday, officials from the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) said.
