UPL: Police Too good for Busoga United

Police 3-0 Busoga United

Police FC continued their brilliant start to the 2020/2021 season after a 3-0 win against Busoga United on matchday four of the Uganda Premier League at the MTN Omondi stadium, Lugogo.

Ben Ocen, Derrick Kakooza and Mubarak Nsubuga strikes were enough to hand the Cops a third successive win of the season in front of their boss Asan Kasingye.

Forward Kakooza grabbed the opener inside the first nine minutes when he beat the offside trap and met a Dennis Rukundo assist to tap home with ease.

In the 24th minute, midfielder Yusuf Ssozi released sharp shooter Ben Ocen who went past two marksmen to meet a defense splitting pass before pocking home past goalie Ali Kimera and doubling Police’s lead.

Mubarak Nsubuga, who replaced Ruben Kimera in the second stanza put the final nail in the coffin in the 71st minute to ensure maximum points for Abdallah Mubiru’s charges.

Busoga United shot stopper Ali Kimera later denied threats from Herman Wasswa who missed two scoring opportunities.

Police leapfrogged KCCA to the summit, having accumulated ten points from four matches while Busoga United has just a single point in the 14th position.

Busoga United and Police will play home and away to Vipers Sports Club and UPDF FC respectively in their next league duels at Njeru and FUFA Technical Center and Bombo barracks playground on Saturday.
